This newsletter is coming to you live from the beautiful Hudson Valley. Just kidding! I wrote this on Wednesday and scheduled it so I could enjoy some much needed PTO. If I had to guess, I’d say Frankie is probably dragging Alicia and I along on a hike right now as we take in the crisp upstate air.

I wanted to spotlight this new album by Sharp Pins. I just started listening to it the other day and first off, how about that cover art? Pretty sick. Secondly, the tunes are tuning. Just some gnarly, lo-fi, fuzzy indie rock gems. The first song “Every Time I Hear” sounds like peak Guided By Voices. “You Don’t Live Hear Anymore” could be a long lost 60’s pop gem. Give it a chance!

Book Recs?

I’ve been stuck in a rut lately with my reading. I tried dipping back into the A Game of Thrones series but the text is too small in the copies I have and book 1 wasn’t available at my library.
