I got a new tune hitting the stream waves next week. A sweet lil’ ditty called “Garden.” Hmm, how would I describe this song? Ethereal. Demure. Brat. I think that about covers it. Upstate Livin’

I am a big fan of the No Expecations newsletter written by music critic Josh Terry. I find his perspective on music discovery and listening to be quite refreshing. He’ll write about new and upcoming releases but often goes back to find gems that maybe slipped through the cracks and didn’t make the best of year end lists for indie rock music. Sometimes, he’ll even drop a comprehensive deep dive on an artist’s catalogue and this weeks newsletter looks at King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. They are a band that I have not been able to wrap my brain around so looking forward to going through this.
