this one is filler

This week I am reporting live from my living room. Let me set the scene. The wood stove is ripping, my feet are kicked up on the coffee table all nice and cozy in my LL Bean mocs. Alicia is baking pistachio muffins in the kitchen for my cough cough 30th birthday and my dogs are scratching at the door to go out for the 15th time this morning. They don’t understand that daddy is working right now. Speaking of work… I put together a music video for my tune “Sick Trick.” You can watch it on the ol’ Youtube if you please. It’s a mix of 35mm photos and archival video clips from my phone. Basically a data dump of me.

In other music video news, the Pespi boys also shared the music video I made with them for their song “Woes.” Apparently they are anti big Youtube so you can only check it out on their instagram page and I can’t link to instagram posts for some reason so just go look it up if you’re interested. The whole video was shot on Super 8 by yours truly and really captured the suburban beauty of Easton, CT in November.

I slept on this one a bit last year despite being a fan of pretty much every Stephen Malkmus project but have been revisiting it after reading this article with Malkmus and fellow hard quarteter Mat Sweeney in which they talk about lyrics that changed their lives.
