Fellow Detroit rockers Bonny Doon posted about this group on the gram and I’ve vibing out to their newest LP ever since. Honestly, it sounds very similar musically to Bonny Doon.

5. Love Takes Miles - Cameron Winter

I forget what song it was but I tried to listen to Cameron Winter when I first started seeing his name pop up and I was like wtf is this. I couldn’t tell if it was a joke or not. But then I read Spencer Tweedy’s substack post where he praised Mr. Winter and this track in particular and I thought to myself, “I must be missing something here?”

Turns out I was. This song slaps. And this Mr. Winter is no joke.

Here’s a throwback to 2011. They’re currently playing some reunion shows and I saw the dude from DAZY shout out this album on his Pitchfork Perfect 10 video so I’ve been revisiting this thang. It’s a vibe and a half. I think if this album came out today they would be huge.
