Well the new EP is out and streaming in most places you can listen to music! 4 songs in total. (No skips in my opinion) A perfect little end of summer mix. Oh and if you listen on Spotify I made some pretty cool canvas for each song!

Most of these songs were written earlier in the year and reflecting on it I find it sort of funny that in the colder winter months I would write songs that are more in tune with a summer aesthetic. I mentioned it in previous posts but “Garden” is about walking around the garden and “Honeymoon” is about my honeymoon. Now, “Flowers” is a nice little ditty about seasonal allergies. As someone who suffers from seasonal allergies all year round this is a deeply personal song. It also features one of the best riffs I’ve ever written in my opinion. Lastly, we have the title track which is the outlier of the four in that it was actually written back in 2017 but re-recorded for this release. The inspiration for this one was the start of mmaaaa wiiiiffeeee and I’s relationship. How about that? I’ve been a sap all along. Who'd a thunk it. Anyways, Alicia would always write letters and I would check the mail for them and I wrote this masterpiece about that. The song is a vibe and I kept the lyrics as I originally wrote them despite the fact that the rhyming scheme is kind of embarrassing in it’s simplicity.

Survivor Season 47 Premier

24 years of this show! That’s crazy. I’m not sure if any of my subscribers besides my wife watch this show so I won’t go in too much depth here but after watching the 2 hour premier on Wednesday I have some thoughts that I need to get off my chest. First of all, we’re spending too much time following people trying to locate beware advantages in the first episode. I don’t care. I am trying to learn a little bit about everyone and I wish they would spend more time on character development then wild goose hunts. Secondly, and maybe lastly because I am not sure if I have another point after this… wtf happened at tribal council? The fact that this dude, Andy, who seems to have multiple personalities didn’t get voted out after he had a complete mental breakdown and instead the nice podcast host went home because he isn’t as strong and they need strength in challengers is LUDICRAS (like the rapper). THE WON THE FIRST CHALLENGE! THEY WEREN’T WEAK. The whole argument for voting out the one guy versus ANDY just made no sense. Andy is a bad vibe and I wouldn’t want to spend a single minute with him on an island with no food, NO COFFEE! I’d have a migraine the first day and asked to be sent home. Anyways, I’ll keep you in the loop and provide some updates in future editions of this newsletter. Maybe I’ll have a top 5 winner predictions next week. I just need to figure out who’s who first.
